Working Families supporters will be coming out in force for the Health Care Unity Rally, rain or shine. Here’s what you need to know:
- The rally is from 2-3pm, Times Square (7th Ave. & 42nd St.). Many of the participants will be walking from locations across the city. Full details for gathering sites at the NYC for Change website.
- The organizers include Organizing for America, Health Care NOW, MoveOn, tons of Unions, Democracy for NYC, Citizen Action, and many more. I’m looking at a long list that includes ethnic groups, civil rights orgs, local Democratic Party entities, and all sorts of community health nonprofits. It’s about time all of us took to the streets together!
Some of us WFP folks will be meeting at 1:15pm on the cornor of 40th St. & 7th Ave. so we can do a little bit of visibility. The vast majority of WFP supporters at the rally will be hanging with the other organizations they belong to (unions and such) but yours truly is there to wave our own flag, thank you very much.
See you there!
