Rental Hell on the Blogs, WBAI, in Bay Ridge

Some folks ARE paying attention to our Rental Hell video contest. We’ve seen it mentioned over at Unemployed Brooklyn, New York Shitty, Liz Benjamin at The Daily Politics, Future Homemaker, and a few more places I can’t find right now.

Tonight we are talking about the contest over at WBAI, on the Met Council’s weekly program on housing issues. @8 pm, 99.5 on your FM dial.

Special offer for folks who have a great story, but can’t film it for our contest: we’ll go to you and tape it. Because your story is that good. Just email me: clenchner (at) workingfamiliesparty.org. Every day between 6-8 we are reserving time to film folks who come to our office in Brooklyn, and on Thursday we’re going out to people’s homes.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, we are going to Martin Golden’s (R) district in Bay Ridge to set up a mobile Rental Hell contest booth! We’ll be near 86th St. and 4th Ave. between 12-5. He’s a real enemy of housing activists, so we’re quite happy to be collecting stories from his constituents.

Don’t forget to submit your entry by the end of this week.
